The Devil wants to make you Uncomfortable

I was sitting by the fire with some friends a few weeks ago. One of my friends was sharing some extreme anxiety and fear she had felt over a situation. She shared how the anxiety increased rapidly in that specific situation to the point where she couldn’t relax or rest. After she was done talking, one of the little boys sitting there with us looked over and said- “That’s just the devil.” And then the next few words he said really hit me.

He said “The Devil wants to make you uncomfortable.”

I had never thought of it that way.

Satan wants nothing more than to make you live in fear rather than peace. In anxiety rather than calm. In chaos over control.

Jesus wants us to rest in Him. To completely trust in promises, and to live a life full of joy and peace.

Let Jesus rule in your life.

Understand the devil’s goals and delete any remaining unsettledness you have allowed him to bring.

Jesus did not promise that there would be no reasons for pain, or for fear. But, He did promise His constant presence in our lives.

Don’t let Satan win.
