There are no Exceptions!

I am not perfect by any means. I will not even try and claim that I had my act together in high school! But, there was one thing I never understood… How did people think they would be the exception? I grew up with people that went to the same school, camps, and conferences that I did. They heard the same messages and advice that I did! I watched as they mocked the preaching. I watched as they thought this Christian life to be foolish.

If you are saved, have the Holy Spirit, have the Word of God, and have spiritual leaders, and all of these things warn you of the consequences of sin, how can you think that if you go and live in the world, and could possibly be happy?

How sad it is to watch friends who have incessantly heard the warnings to avoid this evil world go ahead and enter into it.

There are no exceptions.

If you think you can be the one who can enjoy the pleasures of sin and still be ok, you are wrong.

There are no exceptions.

God’s word is so very clear. He said in Psalms 1-

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

There is just no way around it! Again, I didn’t have it all together, but thank the Lord I understood that just like the law of gravity is just the way it is, there is no lasting success outside of the will of God! That’s just the truth!

If you are considering trying out the things this world has to offer, please consider Psalms 1 before making a choice that will deeply affect you, your friends, and your family. You will not be the exception to the rule. There is no greater life lived than a life lived for Christ!

He brings true satisfaction and purpose to our lives!
